SAS Computer Course

Schedule & duration
SINGAPORE AMERICAN SCHOOL (SAS) TEACHER VOLUNTEERS in cooperation with ACMI offer four levels of computer courses for foreign domestic workers and industrial foreign workers.

2.00-4.00pm

Course Description:

SAS Introduction to Computers
This ten-hour course will present what a computer is and how it works. Students are then introduced to Microsoft Office 2007 Word, the internet and e-mail. (Maximum of 88 students)

SAS Level II Computers
This ten-hour course will continue the application of the basic skills learned in the introduction course as well as teach other features of Microsoft Office 2007, the internet and an introduction to spreadsheets with Excel (Maximum of 60 students) - Note: Only those students who completed the Introduction to Computers course offered at SAS in 2008 can take this course.

SAS Level III Computers
This ten-hour course will further investigate Microsoft Office 2007, the internet and Excel (Maximum of 40 students) - Note: Only those students who completed the SAS Level II Computers course offered at SAS in 2008 can take this course.

SAS Level IV Computers
This ten-hour course will concentrate on using Microsoft Office 2007 applications to produce greeting cards and edit photos, and other requests by students (maximum of 20 students) - Note: Only those students who completed the SAS Level III Computers course offered at SAS in 2008 can take this course.

Requirements

For Introduction to Computers:

  1. Passport and a photocopy
  2. 1 recent passport photo
  3. Work permit and a photocopy
  4. $30 (no cheques) for course fee (non-refundable)

For SAS Level II, III, and IV Computers:

  1. SAS Introduction to Computers/Level II/III pass card or Certificate of Completion of the last SAS 2008 Course
  2. Work permit and a photocopy ONLY IF CHANGED
  3. 1 recent passport photo
  4. $30 (no cheques) for course fee (non-refundable)
