All courses are tailored to suit migrant workers with two Sundays off per month and there are two sets of Sundays and time slots which they can choose from, ie 1st & 3rd Sunday or 2nd and 4th Sunday (except Dressmaking classes please see course’s details). Morning classes are from 10.00am to 1.00pm and afternoon classes are from 1.00pm to 4.00pm. Courses consist of 12 sessions over six months
·$80 for English classes, $90 for ALL other courses.
·Extra charges apply if you wish to take up Beauty & Nail Care, Hairdressing, Dressmaking, Baking or Cooking courses.
·All students will be issued one T-shirt and student ID free of charge. You can buy additional T-shirt at the centre at $6 each.
All new students must submit a copy of their latest work permit and contribution in full. Students must be prepared to incur extra material cost for some of the courses like hairdressing, dressmaking, baking and cooking.
Students must achieve 75% attendance and complete all assignments to be awarded a certificate of attendance. Students should strive to be punctual for class at all time.
Student’s responsibilities Students should observe the centre’s rules and regulations and wear the ACMI TC t-shirt and student’s ID when entering the centre’s compound. New student will be given one t-shirt and student ID free of charge. Additional t-shirt can be purchased at the reception at $6 each. Lost of ID must be reported to the Administrator and replacement of ID and lanyard will be charged at $3 a set.
No visitor is allowed in the classroom or loiter in the compound, please ask your friends to wait at the designated area. If there is any emergency, visitor must register with the Administrator for a visitor pass. Students are advised not to bring any valuables and they are responsible for their own belongings.
